For those of you hypocrites who give me a hard time for never blogging I hope this satisfies you. After a long off-season, in one week, college football will return. Gwen has her new UGA t-shirt ready to debut this season as well as my new UGA rocking chair my sister-in-law made for me. I'm still working on Gwen. She comes from a family of hardcore Gator fans. She's coming around though. Maybe one of these days I can make it down to Athens with 93,000 of my closest friends and cheer on the DAWGS. Gooooooo DAWGS!!!! In the meantime, Gwen is still working hard at the hospital and I'm continuing to serve at Providence. Gwen and I are so blessed with our jobs. Also, I just finished my first week of classes this semester at Southeastern. We're looking forward to this next season of the year!

It's that time of year again!

Harvest '07
Tonight was the first night of Harvest '07 with Greg Laurie here in Raleigh at the RBC Center. It was so awesome to worship with 15,000+ and see hundreds and hundreds make decisions for Christ. Below are some of the shots we took from inside the RBC Center AND we got a shot with our good buddy David Crowder!

Impact is one week from Monday and things are getting crazy around the office. Not to mention that Harvest '07 is taking place the three days right before Impact. Summer is so busy around here. June and July are loaded with stuff. Gwen and I are looking forward to our vacation in August. Every year Providence's Student Ministry takes our students to our summer camp we call Impact. This weekend we have a training retreat for all the counselors and leaders. I can't believe it's already here. This time last year I was beginning my new job here at Providence. It's been a blessing to serve God and the Providence family. Pray for us June 25-30!

It's getting hot...

Ahhhh...summer. The weather is heating up here in Raleigh and Gwen is already starting to work on her tan. Wait a minute...she's already tan! It makes you sick doesn't it? Anyway, Gwen and I are looking forward to going to the beach in August. As you can see in this picture, I've been working on my tan too.

Memorial Day Weekend!
Joel and his older sister Bethany
Me and T.J. being silly
The picture above is of us and my younger brother T.J. He just completed his freshman year at Furman University, so before he left for home we took him out in downtown Greenville (it is such a cute town) T.J. and his friends quickly reminded us what it was like to be a freshman in college again. They had so much energy...not to mention that we went to a coffee shop to hang out, but we had a great time anyway. We were so sad to leave everybody.
